Bootcamp for Center Start-Ups (Part I): From Successful Planning Grant to Center Launch
All Annual Meeting registrants are welcome to attend the Bootcamp to gain, share, or reinforce knowledge. This session is designed, however, for all Planning Grant awardees under NSF 10-595 (attendance required if you have not already attended the session at NSF) and those who have submitted planning grant proposals for new centers in September 2011 in response to NSF 10-595, or are considering submitting Letters of Intent for new centers in January 2012

The planning process is integral to a Center's successful launch and what needs to happen before and after the planning meeting is no less important than the meeting itself. Seasoned NSF I/UCRC staff and Evaluators will explain the planning process, the role of the planning meeting, and its key elements. Presentations and roundtable discussions of best practices will provide detailed information and advice on how to prepare for a successful outcome
