Welcome to the registration site for the 2011 National Science Foundation Engineering Research Centers (NSF ERC) Annual Meeting!  The agenda under development is slated to provide you with a variety of opportunities and formats for information exchange, team work, and strategies for success.  Please look over the mini-agenda below to start your plans for your attendance and participation.

Annual Meeting Agenda Highlights

Tuesday, November 29, 2011

* New Center Orientations by staff function. Existing Centers are invited to attend - share your expertise, meet your new colleagues, and maybe learn something new!

* Speaker Steve A. Hewitt, City Manager of Clinton, OK, and former City Administrator of Greensburg, KS, on rebuilding a town decimated by a tornado into a model of innovative green technology

* Open Discussion Workshops in which attendees work as a group to tackle specific issues critical to successful Center management

* NEW FEATURE! “Maximum Impact” Statements from each Center, followed by informal “Open House” networking ~ more details in the coming weeks!

Wednesday, November 30, 2011

* “ERC Education: A Core Mission” Plenary Session devoted to helping Centers fulfill the engineering education mission

* 2011 NF ERC Student Retreat, featuring Jorge Cham and The Elevator Pitch Contest (The Elevator Pitch Award will be presented in Plenary Session V on Thursday morning!)

* Closed Meetings and time with NSF for all staff functions

* More “Maximum Impact” Statements!

Fees & Rates   

 Wednesday Student Retreat $160 ($185 after October 31) 
   (includes Tuesday’s reception and all of Wednesday’s events – for Students only)    
   
  Annual Meeting  $350 ($375 after October 31)
   
 Guest rooms (by October 31)  $210/night single or double, plus applicabl state and local taxes (currently 14.5%)
