Welcome to the site for the 2012 NSF I/UCRC Annual Meeting!  We have a full and invigorating agenda in store for you, so please plan to join us - register and make your guest room reservation by Monday, December 12, 2011

Please note as you read on that the use of the word "Director" refers to Center Directors, Co-Directors, and Site Directors, and their counterparts among Planning Grantee and potential Planning Grantee attendees

Here are some hightlights and expectations of the 2012 NSF I/UCRC Annual Meeting. As the agenda continues to take shape, we will keep you updated:

*Curtis Carlson, author of "Innovation: The Five Disciplines of Creating What the Customer Wants," will address our group on how to deliver "high-value" innovation

*Bootcamp for Center Start-Ups (please see the agenda and registration for attendance recommendations and requirements), followed by light refreshments for all

* Optional pre-session on Supplemental Funding Opportunities at NSF. Always a full house!

* Directors Networking Sessionon topics relevant across the I/UCRCs. Directors, please pre-register and make the most of this popular, fast-paced opportunity with your colleagues! See Close Encounters on the navigation bar for details

* Breakout sessions for alland by Center function (Directors, Evaluators, Operations)

*Al Teich, Senior Policy Advisor, American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and Dan Berglund, President and CEO of the State Science and Technology Policy Institute (SSTI) will use their best information and expert perspectives to explore how cooperative research spending might be affected by federal budget-cutting. You won't want to miss the discussion of these timely and urgent topics!

* Roundtablesand small group discussions... and more!

New Feature: Use the LIFE form process to discuss and evaluate the Annual Meeting! Via a dedicated website, you will be able to post comments and questions throughout the meeting to be fielded by Babu DasGupta and Alex Schwarzkopf in the closing session. So bring your laptop! More details to come
